If you want true detailed information and specifications then this is for you. Want to know what wire 86 in the PCM plug is? This will tell you. Outstanding electrical schematics with every wire number and color. Mechanical breakdown for every piece and part. Very good detailed troubleshooting sections for everything you can imagine. Costs more than a Chilsons or Haynes but it is also 6 times as thick and year specific. Worth the price in my opinion.

I verified this with Motive's website, the correct part number for the 2008+ Subaru STI is product number 0107.Even though it says "Ford" on it, this is also the right one for Subaru.

I used this without filling the power bleeder with brake fluid.I simply filled up the brake fluid reservoir to the max line, attached the power bleeder, and pumped the power bleeder to pressurize the system to about 10 PSI.

Then I slowly bled each brake, making sure to refill the reservoir after each brake so as to not introduce any air into the system.

This is a very easy and clean way to bleed your brakes by yourself without the help of a 2nd person to step on the brake pedal.The pressure that the Motive Power Bleeder provides simulates the pressing of the brake pedal.

You do not need any adapters with this kit, it comes with everything you need.The only thing is the tube that attaches to the bleeder at each brake is a bit short, so if you want to get a longer one to make it easier to bleed into a bottle without having to hold up the bottle yourself, you can just buy a longer piece of 5/16" outer, 3/16" inner clear tubing from your local hardware store.

I recently purchased a 2007 Nissan Frontier SE pick-up.I noticed it had the reflective headlights when I purchased it, but thought no furthur about it until my first night back roads(dark) drive. We have a lot of deer in the area, and hardly a night goes by that I do not have them cross the road in front of me.I could not see more than 100 feet in front of me on dim and about 125 feet on bright, it seemed, and was hesitant to drive more than 30-35 mph. I found myself ducking down to try to see under the light/dark edge.I was amazed to hear my wife describe the same feeling.I hated to drive at night.I contacted the local Nissan dealer and asked if the lights could be adjusted.The service manager acted like I was crazy and said they had not had this problem before, and was no help at all.I contacted Nissan headquarters who were even less help.They told me to contact the local dealers who were independently owned, and would be glad to furnish me a list of the area dealers.What a joke.I asked for help to solve a serious problem to me and got the brush off from Nissan on what I considered a serious design problem.I have a friend who has a Titan and does not have the reflective type lights and has no problems. So, Internet here I come.I found the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra lights, and started reading the reviews.Almost all were raves about how much it helps night driving.So, I decided to purchase some.BEST PURCHASE I HAVE MADE IN SOME TIME!!!! First off i read Jin's review and gotta say...you have no clue how to use any tech whatsoever! check it out:

1- the can has instructions! read'em
2- the gauge has to be de-pressurized (hence the screwdriver or some item that create a release for the internal pin (looks like a tire pin, you deflate tires the same way. bam!
3-in short if you never have done it use gloves because tension and tight spaces causes stress that gloves prevent. A/C has to be running! (turn on (AC) not just the fan! make sure your AC light illuminates to tell you that the "chill" is going through the car the compressor pulls the freon out from the can as it runs. if not...all you do is cause gas to build in the umbilical hose.
4- to tweek the PSI you have to turn the nozzle and adjust on the fly (detailed instructions! i'm military and i know how to follow them, people who served know how to follow instructions as police and medics and the like. whats with people who can't follow WRITTEN instructions! you're killin me noobtastic 1 star rater! you made me laugh tonight.

The product picture is the truth, but I did not realize the implications because I forgot what OEM filter looked like precisely. So, I disagree with Mr. Hayden's review and the claim that FRAM CF10285 is "a few steps above OEM". It plainly is not. The amount of the filtering material is less than half of that of OEM, and FRAM tried to complensate with the activated coal. No argument, coal is great for things like smells or cigarette smoke, but it's no substitute for actual filter. 3 stars.

Great tool. Highly recommended. By far the best way to bleed brakes. The auto-refill bottle makes it truely a on person operation. (actually I do not see the point in getting the version with without the refill kit)
I added new brake lines so it was the perfect time to try this unit out. On my particular car, bleading the brakes by pumping the pedal is not recommended. Gravity bleeding is preferred. How slow is that? This pump was the only way to go. Very happy with the results! Appears to be very sturdy and well built.

Hopkins 09715 Hitch Level Review

Saw this model level on a used camper purchased by my brother-in-law and decided right then that this one was a must-have on our own camper. This replaced the standard (cheap!) stick-on levels that are available at any dealer or retail camping department. Those require you to check the front for side to side and then walk to the side to check front to back level. Those also tend to "move" slightly when the sun heats up the stick-on tape, so you might be level or you might just be close to level. The Hopkins mounts securely and permanently to the tongue, just ahead of the jack, and is in the perfect position to quickly check level. By turning the dial, the indicator arrow also shows how much you need to raise the low side. It's accurate, once you calibrate it with a carpenter's level on the floor, securely mounted and in a great position so you avoid any extra steps! The only problem encountered was that I failed to measure the diameter of the screws and went ahead and drilled the size hole (9/32) indicated on the package. Wrong!! I had to use larger screws. I should have used a 1/8 bit. But, the hex head screws I pulled from my stash were easier to install than the straight-slot screws provided.

Q Industries HV40A2 SuperFlow Portable Air Compressor with LED Light Review

Ok.. I didn't get this from Amazon. I got it from Steve's Tools for about 5$ more.
Needed it now because my old crappy $15 pump finally died.

Pros.
Real smooth and well balanced.This thing doesn't jump around at all.
Fill speed is good, but not for large tires.
For those get the version that clamps to battery terminals.

This one topped off my P255-75R15 in decent time.
However, filling up my 60PSI doughnut spare took a while.
I don't think there is much head space for the higher pressures.
This is where the screw-on air chuck was useful.

The pressure gauge actually works and is accurate.
The switches are separate for pump and LED lights.

The handle is actually a metal heat shield for the output.
Run this pump for a while airing up a 60 PSI spare and you
will understand why it needs a heat shield.

The unit comes with a bag.Not the highest quality but
sufficient for storing the pump and a few other odds and ends.

Cons.
The screw-on air chuck can be a pain, but just overfill a bit before taking it off.
The air hose is adequate for reaching front and back tires on one side,
but you have to move the pump from one side of the vehicle to the other.
The LED lamps aren't that bright, and the blinkers are only three white LEDs.
You have to put in a red filter.They should have been red LEDs.

I'm reserving comment on the lighter connector.Looks a bit cheap compared to the
rest of this unit.

All in all I'm happy.

I bought the 3M Half Face Respirator as part of a one-time project. I had to spray some 2-part, cyanoacrylate paint on a classic motorcycle I was restoring and had no respirator with the necessary 'organics filter.'

If you smell cyano fumes while you're painting, you're already permanently injured. The kidneys filter the particles and the pollutants stay there; they are not excreted. This one claimed to keep the fumes out, was under $20, and looked like it would do the job.

It did; I never got so much as a WHIFF of fumes while painting. The mask was comfortable, let me breathe easily, and fit very, very well.

I'd buy another one if I needed to do another project like this, although the mask can be safely stored in its (included) zip bag for up to a year after the bag is initially opened.

A simple, inexpensive product that works. What more can you ask?

I bought this bleeder after I developed air in my ABS unit after replacing a brake line.Prior to buying this power bleeder, I tried bleeding the brake fluid the traditional way and utilizing a mityvac pump neither had much success.Buying this unit was my last ditch effort before I took it into a dealer that had the specialized software/equipment they use $$$..

The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because it did not come with any instructions.Whether that is standard or just a fluke I don't know.I went to the companies website (www.motive.com) and found a demo link on their home page which was very helpful.As far as the performance of the unit I would give it six stars since it saved me a trip to the mechanic shop.I have recommended this several times since I fixed my truck..

I'm writing this review because the Amazon description doesn't inform you that you NEED 15 amps to power the device as clearly stated in the owner's manual. Unfortunately, I didn't know this before purchase so when I plugged it into my Honda Pilot which only supplies 10 amps, it didn't work. I called Slime customer service who confirmed that all their products require 15 amps.

Check your car owner's manual to make sure your power socket supplies 15 amps!

I'm giving it 5 stars because the device itself looks very high quality with a nice storage case. Slime customer service was also speedy and helpful. Too bad the Amazon item description was inadequate.

UPDATE: I have since bought the Black & Decker ASI300 Air Station Inflator which works great with my car.

First, as of July 23, 2007) the picture in Amazon.com is very incorrect.It is showing a single-piece tool that is not related to working with a serpentine belt tensioner as described here.Do a web-search for Lisle 57900, and you will find other sources that show the main bar (nothing like the tool shown), two extension bars, and six socket or drive attachments.

That much said, I was stumped with this repair procedure without a tool like this.For my Chevy Cavalier, (transverse-mount 2.2L engine), there's no room to get a regular 3/8" socket driver onto the tensioner. There's about 1 inch of space from the surface of the tensioner to the tire well.And it's tight just to get down to it. Although this 57900 does not have a ratchet head (like the Blue Line Snap-on version), the multi-position extension bars should make this job possible, and manageable.

I was in a hurry, so I ordered it from a different source.If I had a spare few days, I would have contacted the seller to either get the picture corrected, or the description corrected. the 57900 is a fine tool, but who knows what you will get, from this Amazon ad. Lisle 57900 Serpentine Belt Tool

A filter is a filter, not much difference between one and another.I haven't needed to clean this filter yet so I can't say anything about that.However, this filter did not fit snuggly in a Camry 98 4cy 1.1L.The filter housing has rounded corners and this filter has square corners, so after putting it in, the filter bent up a little.No problems since the cover will push the filter down, but it would have been nice to have a better fit.

This stuff is unbeleivable. If you want to make a nice show piece this is the stuff to use. Nobody can beleive I used a brush. It self levels in about 10 minutes and drys still looking wet like you spray painted 10 coats on it. I found it works best on stuff I sandblasted leaving a nice etched surface. Like the directions say you better seal the can lid with saran wrap or you will never get it off. Great stuff!

I stripped thread for the idler pulley for timing belt.
I looked into helicoil option, but for the same price it didn't look so reliable.
Kit worked excellent for me. Took me about 30 mins to fix the thread. Biggest problem was to drill. I used electric drill and it was getting stuck, so I had to remove it and start again multiple times. Look at the several videos at [...], they are pretty good.

I used this in the automatic transmission of my 1996 Honda Prelude as per the recommendation of this seller. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. The car was shifting poorly, lurching and hesitating, not surprising given the 160K miles and lack of maintainance of the previous owner, but it immediately shifted almost perfectly as soon as I drove it after "Xadoing" it.
I was told to use two tubes but only used one.
The gel did not mix well with the ATF in the bottle so... believe it or not... I nuked a small amount in my microwave oven (for one minute) and added it into the bottle with the Xado gel which solved that little challenge.
I highly recommend this.

I used this tool to help me replace a timing belt in a 1993 Mazda Protege DOHC. My purpose in purchasing this tool was to hold the cam sprockets in proper alignment while we install the timing belt. It failed to hold the sprockets. First,not all of the anchoring teeth of the tool meshed with the grooves of the sprocket. Some were out of line. Two, the tightening screws did not provide enough holding tension. This was the main fault. We aligned the sprockets to their proper settings,held them in place with wrenches, applied the clamp, remove the wrenches and with the clamp in place, the sprockets would move because the clamp could not hold the tension. This thing does not work for the Mazda.

Professional Hand Nut Rivet Gun Review

To give a better review I need to break it down into pros and cons, with a little explanation in between.
Pros:
It's extremely inexpensive in it's class.
It easily set every size in aluminum that came with the tool*
Mandrels for this tool can be found on Ebay dirt cheap, even with added shipping
from the U.K.(Ref: Laser Tools 0979 Nut riveter)
*Most of the instructions show the rivet nut being screwed so far up the mandrel that it is nearly impossible to to get a grip on the tool. If there is room, back the nut down until the mandrel threads are flush with the bottom of the rivet nut.
You can always give the nut another crank if it isn't fully mushroomed. Remember that this tool is not a Pop riveter. There is some skill required to learn to feel when a nut is set. You need to test nuts on material that allows you to see the blind side so you have an idea of what your squeeze is doing in relation to it's feel.
Cons:
The directions are a one-way road to failure in most cases.
The Knurled portion that allows you to thread the mandrel is a bit undersized, especially when trying to thread on 1/4-20 nuts of less than excellent quality.

Some useful advice:
Keep the mandrels lubed and free of aluminum remnants so your nuts thread on smoothly.
Tighten the mandrels well so they don't come undone while threading on the nuts.
As far as quality goes, every major manufacturer of this kind of tool(I've dealt with Marson/Alcoa, AVK, Avdel, Pop) is plagued with complaints of the smaller mandrels breaking, and in every case I've been exposed to that appears to be from a lack of proper instructions on the OEM's part or the end user just sqeeezed the tool well after the nut was properly set. FYI, the handles, in many cases, do not need to be fully cranked down. Once you feel that a nut is no longer "flowing", stop.

I used the compressor to add air to 4 tires, approx. 5-7 psi per tire and it worked fine, didn't take too long.However, there are 2 problems with the device - 1. After adding air to 2 tires the rubber inside the nozzle was already ripping and becoming unattached so that it would get in the way when trying to connect it to the valve stem, after 4 tires it was very ripped up.2. The compressor vibrates so much that you can't put it onthe ground while running or it falls over.I guess that's the price you pay for the light weight of the compressor.While the rubber seal is a concern, it's not enough for me to return the compressor because it did work.I only hope the seal doesn't get so bad that the nozzle won't keep a good connection with the valve stem.

The MBX Metal Blaster Tool Kit-Pneumatic Review

This is a very great tool to use. Its simple to set up and the only thing I think you need to worry about if you use the metal bristles is how MUCH stuff you want to strip off. It will handle several layers of paint and rust in one whack, but it really does take a powerful compressor to keep it going at the right speeds. The Home Depot specials or in my case a hand-me-down from my dad was under-powered for the job.

Turtle Wax T-221 Wet'n Black Tire Gel Review

Once we get others past the "absurd" notion of treating our tires with product then it is very nice to see an advance from the bad old days of Armor All spinning off your spiffy clean & "conditioned" tires all over the wheels, or worse, the finish of the vehicle.

Turtle Wax "Wet -n- Black" is quite a thick gel that is easy to manage and spreads quite well over a large area so you get better bang for buck.

I am a first time user, this evening, so will have to update post as to longevity, etc. but the initial applications went quite smoothly [two are recommended for vehicles like mine that haven't been detailed recently or to obtain SUPER wet & black...], and thus far it is living up to expectations with nice black shiny "wet" wheels, little trouble with run off or smear over, relative ease of handling [proper purple medical service type gloves are recommended when handling this and all other vehicle detailing chemicals] and no horrid smell or strange color to limit the application - doe anybody remember the Tire Gel with Glitter incorporated ??? spoooky.

Bonus round: this stuff is thick enough that it can easily be used on dark or light rubber molding / trim elements without fear of discoloration... going to try it on some weather stripping next.

I used these to remove all the remaining double-stick tape from the factory decals and side moldings I took off my Jeep.Ran them at the recomended speed and worked great!Saved me hours of sweat and swear words using goo gone or something similar to get all this off.Still needed some elbow grease in spots the round wheel wouldn't quite get into, but that's not the products fault.
I would highly recomend these stripe off wheels for anyone looking to get rid of any sticky residue or vinyl sticker style pin stripes...just wash the area of road grime first and watch the RPMs, you can burn clear coat or color with these at too high rate of speed.

3M #956 Suction Cup Dent Puller Review

I had four dents on my car (it's 10 years old). We're getting it repainted so I wanted to try and get some of the dents out. The suction cup didn't even lock on any of the dents. It wants a perfectly level area to adhere to. So basically, except for the windows, there is not a completely flat surface on the car it would suction on, dent or no dent. For the heck of it I tried to get it to lock on the hood of my car where there were no dents. Not even there! This was a useless waste of money. I went back and got the Bondo dent puller, but the three step instructions are horribly unclear, so we'll see how that works.... if I can figure it out.
