
My name is Gil.I am a part of an electrical-mechanical company that has been in business for 36 years.We know what it means to deliver on promises; back up warranties; solve problems and 'be there if there is a problem' for the benefit and security of our customers.
In today's high-tech, fast-paced world it is difficult to find the 'good old-fashioned customer caring' that should come with making every purchase.We remember when that was the standard and the norm; not the exception.
Every now and again you find a merchant--especially those on the internet who do not have a face or a physical address that they ever disclose--who has the same commitment to customer care.We found such a one with this merchant.
We ordered his disk.It arrived on time but empty.The file was empty and/or corrupted.I thought to myself, the price of the product almost inhibits you from attempting to do anything about returning it.The cost of my time, plus return shipping and any effort to 'fight a merchant' made me almost want to throw the disk away and say; "It is what it is!Take the loss and forget it!"
Then I said; "I will just email and tell him what happened.Then I will see what transpires."To my surprise I got back a quick response.The merchant refunded all of my money (including shipping)and sent me a new disk totally at his expense.
I was amazed and very happy!I know that this may not happen every time he makes a mistake with a product, but his reasoning was what impressed me the most.He said:"I do this every day.I am sorry for this mistake.I will correct it.For me this is more than a business, I have a passion for the Land Rovers that I sell products for.Don't Worry!"
I think that it is great when a merchant's products and services are his passion and that passion is expressed in the way that they treat their customers.Pride in their product and their company expresses itself in pride in the way they treat their customers!Hooray!!!!
It was a pleasure to do business with him.I felt a warmth within and I hope that he prospers and gives all of his customers the same wonderful experience.May my comments become an expectation for every future customer and a lifelong standard for this merchant to live up to!
