Did some research on the 'net and could not find a pure "convertable top patch kit" to save my life! Somewhere I saw someone mention this product so I found it here and bought it, so my review stems from that perspective.My use was on a 2003 Miata convertible top, (for those of you that don't know the '03 model was when the canvas top became available for the Miata. Previously it was only available with a vinyl top) that had a small hole in it (about the size of a pencil tip) enough to drip water on my ear when it rained hard.
Applied product to both sides of the hole and after a month and a half adhesion has been good and I have not seen any discoloration. Applied a larger piece to the underside and a 1" square on top. It's noticeable within 5' but further it is not.
Installation was fairly simple rub area with included alcohol swab then slap on. Good cheap repair for (at the very least) small flaws on convertible tops.
