Great tool. Highly recommended. By far the best way to bleed brakes. The auto-refill bottle makes it truely a on person operation. (actually I do not see the point in getting the version with without the refill kit)
I added new brake lines so it was the perfect time to try this unit out. On my particular car, bleading the brakes by pumping the pedal is not recommended. Gravity bleeding is preferred. How slow is that? This pump was the only way to go. Very happy with the results! Appears to be very sturdy and well built.

Motive Products Custom Ford Power Bleeder(0106) Ford 2 Tab Review

I bought this bleeder after I developed air in my ABS unit after replacing a brake line.Prior to buying this power bleeder, I tried bleeding the brake fluid the traditional way and utilizing a mityvac pump neither had much success.Buying this unit was my last ditch effort before I took it into a dealer that had the specialized software/equipment they use $$$..

The only reason that I didn't give it five stars is because it did not come with any instructions.Whether that is standard or just a fluke I don't know.I went to the companies website (www.motive.com) and found a demo link on their home page which was very helpful.As far as the performance of the unit I would give it six stars since it saved me a trip to the mechanic shop.I have recommended this several times since I fixed my truck..

Motive Products Power Bleeder - European- Black Label Review

Brake bleeding.What a pain.I hate having to call upon anyone to help me with anything.So for me, brake bleeding usually involves a lump of wood jammed against the brake pedal and the seat.You may know what that is like.

I have tried one-way bleeders with varying success over the years but my Alfa Romeo has two bleed nipples on the rear calipers that need to be opened at the same time.One-way bleeders do not work.

I had heard about the power bleeders that push fluid through the system like the Motive Products unit and vacuum systems that draw the fluid through such as the MityVac.

Some research led me to the Motive Products Power Bleeder.The Black Label unit has the correct European cap for the master cylinder which was a significant feature.

Why-oh-why did I not get one sooner?

So easy.It just works.Add the fluid, pressurize the system open up the bleed nipples in the correct order.What could be simpler?

I did add Teflon tape to the nipple threads which is a good idea whatever bleeding method you use.I resists air entering the system past the threads when the nipple is loosened.

I takes longer to jack the car up and remove the wheels than bleeding the brakes.One of the best $70 I have ever spent.

Any downsides? I lent this to a friend that has a vehicle that requires a master cylinder cap adapter that is not a direct screw-on type, it is held on with chains, he was not happy with it.Then again he not happy with anything to do with the brakes on his Mitsubishi Gallant VR4.We have tried everything on this car to get a real solid pedal.The good old pump pump hold, vacuum and pressure bleeding.May be the ABS is a problem.

Unit is well made.Like the billet m/c cap.

Motive Products GM Power Bleeder Review

I saw this tool on an episode of Powerblock TV. I ended up taking my 98 Saturn SL2 to the dealer for the last rear brake job because I didn't want to go through the hassle of recruiting someone to help pump the brakes. (It cost me 540.00 of which 400.00 was for labor!)
When I discovered that my rear wheel cylinders were leaking again, I knew it was time to get this tool. Since the brake fluid was dark colored and probably very old, I planned to flush the system rather than just bleeding it. I felt this bleeder would suit this perfectly.
After reading other reviews, I decided to do one modification. I installed a metal tire valve stem on the tank. (I'm not recommending that anyone should do this, this was done just for my personal use.) Instead of using the hand pump to pressurize the tank, I planned to use the built in air compressor on my battery jump starter. (I finally got to make good use of it since it was worthless as far as jump starting cars, but that's another story.) Since I planned on using the "dry" method, I could use the schrader valve to relieve pressure in the tank, rather than unscrewing the cap.
The cap that goes on the master cylinder is specifically made for my car type and not universal, so it fits on nice and tight, no leaks. An extra gasket for the cap was included.
The gauge goes up to 30 psi but it is recommended that you don't exceed 20 psi.
I kept it between 10-15 psi to be on the safe side. It was more than enough pressure to push the brake fluid through the system. The air compressor in my jump starter pressurized the tank slowly enough so that it wouldn't accidentally over pressurize the tank. Since I did employ the "dry" method, I had to refill the master cylinder and make sure the fluid level didn't get too low. (If it does, you'll be sorry!) It took around four refills per wheel since I was flushing the system rather than just bleeding it. To me, this small hassle was better than the clean up and wasting of brake fluid associated with employing the "wet" method. The schrader valve worked as I had planned, and it was easy to relieve the tank pressure before refilling the master cylinder.
This was the easiest brake bleeding job that I have ever done. I'm almost (I said almost!) looking forward to the next bleeding job! The bleeder is very sturdily built and worked as advertised. My only regret is that I didn't discover it sooner!
