Lisle 6 Qt. Translucent Oil Dispenser Review

I bought this for the sole purpose of being able to pour motor oil in both my commercial mowers and my vehicles without using either a funnel, and also being able to solve certain measurement issues when using bulk oil. This product solves both of these problems.
The see through property and graduations on the side help control oil amounts and the flexable spout allows for easy, drip-free application. The only thing I am going to do is color the measurements on the side with magic marker to make the easier to read. Othe than that, it works great. One thing I would like to see the manufacturer do, is amke some sort of cover and cap for it to help keep out dust and dirt between uses.

Fram PH3600 Extra Guard Passenger Car Spin-On Oil Filter Review

Since I got my first car, Fram has always been the oil filter brand I would reach for. The PH8A was the standard ford oil filter for years, And I went through plenty of them. Now my new vehicle has the ph3600 size. Although it is smaller, it is still the same great features as the PH8a. Always reliable and never a leak or ill fit. very consistent. It was a nice improvement whe they added the grip end to these as well, very hand when you have oil on your hand. .

Fram XG4967 Extended Guard Passenger Car Spin-On Oil Filter (Pack of 2) Review

The auto parts stores in town NEVER carry these because they want you to buy more filters. So I always order enough of these from Amazon to get free shipping and I'm all set for both cars for months. They are cheaper here anyway.

I run Mobile 1 synthetic oil and use these to capitalize on the longer intervals between required oil changes. With these extended guard filters and 100% synthetic oils like M1 or the cheapest Amsoil 100% synthetics, I go 7000 miles (I could probably go more, but I'm conservative since oil is the lifeblood of an engine and aside from oil I don't do wonderful maintenance like I should).

The color of the oil IS dark, I agree, but the real measure would be to use a test kit on the oil to see if it is still protecting the engine. Color doesn't neccessarily mean everything. I would like to see 99% efficiency in an extended interval filter, but unfortunately to get that sort of protection you have to install a bypass and use two filters at once (one cheap and one 99% filter like K&N or purolator).

In short, Amazon has made it easy & inexpensive to avoid shopping around for hi- mileage filters of good quality. I'll keep buying these as long as Amazon keeps carrying them. The purolators are a good deal here also.

Bar's Leaks 1000 Engine Repair - 16 fl. oz. Review

This product worked very well for me. The engine has more power especially in the lower gears and at cruising speeds the car seems to shift less and is smoother in the hills. It didn't quiet the slight ticking noise on start up that I have but I think I may have a weak oil pump. (will be taking the car in to have that checked) It took driving the car the full 100 miles to notice a difference - as noted on the package, it may be necessary to drive for 2 days or 100 miles for results. I would definitely recommend this product. I have also used their radiator / cooling system treatments in the past and they work very well too.

Dorman 65324 AutoGrade Oil Drain Plug Review

An exact fit for my Ford Focus. Price and delivery were great. After a dozen or so oil changes the original plug is loosing some of it's exact faces and shoulders. Plus I aways feel comfortable with a "spare" laying around to replace the one that gets dropped and rolls across the street into a storm drain. :-(
