These things work very well.I have the car from hell- a 2000 Chevy Malibu (with the emphasis on MAL) that had a leaking lower manifold gasket.When I replaced the rocker arm bolts (steel bolts in an alumninum head) two of them stripped out- even though I was using the recommended torque.The helicoil repair took about fifteen minutes for each bolt, and have not failed again.
