Slime 40003 Smart Spair Tire Sealant and Inflator Kit Review

I bought this kit as a "spare spare" for my SUV.You never know when one spare is enough and getting out of the back country is important.

It has everythong I need, but the inflator (air pump) is too wimpy.The warnings instruct:

1. Do not operate for more than 8 minutes continuously.
2. Allow compressor to cool 25 minutes between uses.

It's probably good enough for a car, but I'm getting a more capable compressor for the SUV.I don't care if it pumps slow, as long as it won't break if I forget to set a timer.

The other troubling thing is the warning to run the compressor only with the engine turned off.Over voltage protection isn't that expensive and I don't want to risk discharging my battery.When far from civilization, a dead battery is worse than a flat tire.

TIRE REPAIR/MAINT KIT [Misc.] Review

Slime 2040-A Tire Plug Kit Review

I bought this thing because my old one has screw driver like handles on it and it kills your hands. The firsd time I used it the handle came off when I tried to pull it out of the tire. I guess you get what you pay for.

What can I say, simple & quick flat repair especially for my motorcycle. been using these for many years. Well these and other brands of same type . Just shove it in the hole with the proper tool and the leak is fixed.
for easier fixing put some rubber cement on the strip before shoving it in. It makes it glide in easier and seals better. long lasting repair.

Used these on two cars both with run flat tires and they worked great.You simply remove the nail/screw, load the Dynaplug tool and insert it into the hole.It may take 2 or 3 plugs but they eventually stop the leak and you just trim off the excess tail and youre done.Compared to buying a new tire for $200 or $300 its a winner!
