It's a small piano wire size. I have not tested the strength yet though, but I warn you, DO NOT REMOVE the 3 wires holding the product!!! It was my mistake to cut the them off, because it turned into one big mess (like a tangled slinkies but with more of the wire.) You will probably need piano wire cutters or something like it.
