Short / Open Circuit Finder and Circuit Tracer - Supersedes SHFFF300 Review

Short / Open Circuit Finder and Circuit Tracer - Supersedes SHFFF300The description of the product brochure states that the `short' is much easier to detect with this tool then the `open'. In reality it is almost true. The problem is that in automotive world we usually see bundles of wires, which is the biggest flaw of this detector. The bundle of wires absorbs the signal and makes it weak in `short' cases and practically impossible to trace in `open' circuits. In addition, if you have a light bulb on one end of the circuit and a `short' on the other, you will be chasing a wild goose. The best advice to those who decides to buy this product is practice, more and more because it is the only way to figure out the way this tool works.
