Slime COMP06 Pro Power Heavy-Duty Tire Inflator Review

I'm writing this review because the Amazon description doesn't inform you that you NEED 15 amps to power the device as clearly stated in the owner's manual. Unfortunately, I didn't know this before purchase so when I plugged it into my Honda Pilot which only supplies 10 amps, it didn't work. I called Slime customer service who confirmed that all their products require 15 amps.

Check your car owner's manual to make sure your power socket supplies 15 amps!

I'm giving it 5 stars because the device itself looks very high quality with a nice storage case. Slime customer service was also speedy and helpful. Too bad the Amazon item description was inadequate.

UPDATE: I have since bought the Black & Decker ASI300 Air Station Inflator which works great with my car.

Saris Hatch Huggers for Saris Trunk Mount Racks Review

Aim was to transport my bike 15 miles to the trail using Lexus RX330 or Mitsubishi Eclipse. A hitch and bike holder was an expensive option, while a roof rack was difficult for me to load the bike and not practical. Out of all bike trunk racks that I was able to review, only Saris Bones 805 2-Bike Trunk Mount Rack would fit my SUV and Eclipse using Hatch Huggers. Plus it's elegant design and recycled material. Delivery was prompt as usual from Amazon.com. Installed product in 15 minutes alone after reviewing the product video on web site as suggested by reviewer. The rack and Hatch Huggers proved to be sturdy and stable. I am very happy with the outcome and highly recommend it.

Slime COMP03 12-Volt Air Compressor with Gauge and Light (300 PSI) Review

I used the compressor to add air to 4 tires, approx. 5-7 psi per tire and it worked fine, didn't take too long.However, there are 2 problems with the device - 1. After adding air to 2 tires the rubber inside the nozzle was already ripping and becoming unattached so that it would get in the way when trying to connect it to the valve stem, after 4 tires it was very ripped up.2. The compressor vibrates so much that you can't put it onthe ground while running or it falls over.I guess that's the price you pay for the light weight of the compressor.While the rubber seal is a concern, it's not enough for me to return the compressor because it did work.I only hope the seal doesn't get so bad that the nozzle won't keep a good connection with the valve stem.

Permatex 09128 Copper Anti-Seize Lubricant - 8 Oz. Review

If you ever do spark plug changes on a car with aluminum heads.... you MUST use this, it really protects the threads on the head and it makes the spark plugs a lot easier to remove next time you replace them.

Permatex 80078 Anti-Seize Lubricant 133K, 8 oz Brush-Top Bottle Review

This Permatex anti-seize is excellent for all of the above, as it prevents the formation of rust or galvanic corrosion between steel plugs / aluminum heads, stainless bolts / steel body parts, the wheel hub / steel wheel (rust is a problem here) and the interface of the lug nuts and the wheel (it also seems to prevent wear where the lug nut bears up against the wheel).

Please note that this is not a good product to use where continuous heavy vibration is present.Some variant of threadlocker is better suited to that application.

I use this stuff on a daily basis, and it has saved me many fasteners that would have otherwise seized and broken off.I highly recommend it.

Permatex 81343 Anti-Seize Lubricant 133 Review

Use this product if you're going to be installing spark plugs, cylinder head and exhaust head bolts for easy removal later. I'm a novice mechanic so this tube will probably last me a while, wish it came in a smaller tube and it included brush. Overall, its a good product, I'dbuy it again.

I have been looking for a copper grease for brake pad installation for the longest of time and finally settled on this one. I couldn't be happier with it. No brake pad screeching at all. Dorman HELP! 614-632 C Series Universal Quick Boot Kit Review

I installed this on a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4.My old boots were cracking, but not yet leaking, so the CV joint was good and I hoped using this product would be good maintenance.
Installation was difficult for a split boot.The supplied solvent glue has a tendency to dissolve holes in the boot when used in the amounts described by the instructions.
I just checked the boot after six months of use.The end seals are poor.The large end is leaking grease, and the small end seams loose on the shaft.
